The competition in Fortaleza has been tough, riders have had their work cut out as each athlete is fighting for the one title of the year.
The big surprise of the competition was the young American Fred Hope. He stormed through the KiteFoil competition taking the championships, and even managing to ride through two complete Around the Worlds during his heats. Charles Brodel also impressed the judges with his riding, he will be another athlete to watch on the KiteFoil circuit in 2021.
With WingFoiling two riders really stood from the crowd. Balz Müller and Titouan Galea, their smooth piloting and riding gave them the competitive edge throughout the event and both took first place on the podium for their diciplines.
The conditions in Beira Mar gave the surf athletes a chance to shine their light. The Brazilians Kauli Seadi and Levi Lens both performed well, as did the young Cape Verdean Hendrik Lopes. If Hendrick can up his freestyle talents to that of his wave riding he will be taking podium finishes in no time.
